Weekly Production Profit Statistics for Chinese C5 Industry Chain Samples (September 11–17, 2026)

Published on 2026-09-18

On September 17, the price of pyrolysis C5 rose by 2.65%. The prices of dicyclopentadiene (DCPD), isoprene, and piperylene increased by 5.08%, 2.98%, and 4.42%, respectively, while the price of pyrolysis C5 residual liquid fell by 1.10%. Overall, although the price of pyrolysis C5 surged, the decline in the residual liquid price led to an expanded weekly loss margin.

For next week, the price of pyrolysis C5 is expected to ease slightly, whereas the downside potential for the residual liquid price remains significant. Consequently, C5 separation profits are projected to continue declining.

Seeing C5 separation profits dip further despite the DCPD and isoprene price surge is worrying. The residual liquid decline is clearly dragging down margin, suggesting weak downstream demand for that fraction. I expect c..
