Terms of Use
Welcome to ChemPriceHub. These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the ChemPriceHub website at www.chempricehub.com (the "Site"), the ChemPriceHub mobile application (the "App"), and the data and services made available through them (together, the "Service"). By registering an account, subscribing to a paid plan, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Service Description
ChemPriceHub is a market intelligence and data-subscription platform for the chemical industry. The Service provides:
- Chemical price data — current and historical prices for chemical products, with specifications such as CAS number, purity and grade;
- Historical price trends — charts and historical records of price movements over time;
- Supplier and vendor information — directories of suppliers associated with the products and price records covered by the Service;
- Market news and analysis — industry news, market updates and price commentary.
The data is aggregated from supplier offers and other published market sources, and is updated continuously. Access to particular data sets, the number of products you may follow, and how far back you may view historical prices depend on the subscription plan you hold (see Section 3).
Nature of the Service and scope of our role. The Service is an information and data-subscription service only. ChemPriceHub is not a marketplace, trading platform, broker or agent. In particular:
- We do not sell, buy, supply, ship or handle chemical products or any other physical goods;
- We do not act on behalf of buyers or suppliers, do not match or connect parties for the purpose of concluding transactions, and do not charge any commission on transactions;
- We are not a party to, and do not control, any transaction between users or between users and suppliers, and we do not provide transaction dispute mediation or escrow services;
- Price data and other content are provided for market reference and informational purposes only. They do not constitute an offer, a quotation, investment advice, or a recommendation to trade, and must not be relied upon as the sole basis for any commercial decision.
2. Accounts, Rights and Obligations
Your account. You need an account to access the Service. You have the right to hold an account and password on ChemPriceHub and to use them to access the Service, subject to the plan you hold.
You agree that you will:
- be an individual, legal entity or other organisation with full legal capacity to enter into these Terms;
- provide accurate, current and complete registration information (such as your name, company, email address, contact number and address) and keep it up to date. You may not register using another person's identity or information;
- keep your account credentials confidential, not lend, share or transfer your account to anyone else, and notify us promptly if you become aware that your account has been used without your authorisation;
- use the Service only for lawful purposes, and not to scrape, resell, redistribute, sublicense or systematically extract the data or content except as expressly permitted by your plan or by our prior written consent;
- not interfere with, disrupt, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its underlying systems.
If the information you provide is inaccurate, or if you breach these Terms, ChemPriceHub may suspend or terminate your access to the Service in accordance with Section 7.
Our rights and obligations. We will provide the Service with reasonable skill and care in accordance with these Terms. We may copy and store the information you provide on our servers and use it to operate and support the Service and to contact you about your account. We may remove or restrict any content or link that violates applicable law or these Terms, and we may disclose information where required by applicable law, legal process or a competent authority. We may suspend or terminate your use of the Service as set out in Section 7.
3. Billing and Subscription Terms
Plans and prices. The Service is offered on the following plans. Prices are stated in US dollars (USD) and exclude any applicable taxes unless otherwise indicated:
- Free — no charge. Includes core features with limited watchlist capacity and limited historical price depth.
- Essential — USD 9.99 per month, or USD 99.99 per year (billed once per year).
- Plus — USD 19.99 per month, or USD 159.99 per year (billed once per year).
The features and limits included in each plan, and the current prices, are displayed on our pricing page and in the App before you confirm any purchase. Where a price is shown in a currency other than USD (for example, a local currency displayed by the App Store or Google Play), that displayed price applies to your purchase. If the price or plan details shown at checkout differ from any other statement, the price and details shown at checkout apply.
Billing cycle. Paid plans are billed either monthly or annually, as you select at the time of purchase. Your billing cycle starts on the date of your first payment. Annual plans are charged once per year in advance; monthly plans are charged once per month in advance.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically. Unless you cancel before the end of the current billing period, your subscription will automatically renew for another period of the same length, and the payment method you used (or the payment method on file with the app store through which you subscribed) will be charged the applicable price for the new period. Each renewal occurs on the day corresponding to your original purchase date in the relevant period — for example, a monthly subscription purchased on the 12th renews on the 12th of each following month, and an annual subscription purchased on 12 March renews on 12 March of the following year. Your next renewal date is shown in your account and/or in the subscription details of the app store you used.
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not by itself refund the current period. After cancelling, you retain access to the paid features until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and no further charges will be made. You can cancel by:
- managing or cancelling your subscription in the store you purchased through — your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, if you subscribed in the App; or
- contacting us at info@chempricehub.com with the email address registered to your account.
Note that deleting the App or your ChemPriceHub account does not by itself cancel a subscription purchased through an app store; cancelling it in that store is required.
Refunds. Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase, and requests made after that period will not be accepted. Where you purchased through an app store, refunds are requested from and granted by that store in accordance with its policies.
Price changes. We may change plan prices or plan contents. If we change the price of a subscription you hold, we will give you reasonable advance notice (and, where required, obtain your consent) before the change takes effect on your next renewal. If you do not agree to the change, you may cancel before the renewal date as described above.
Taxes. Depending on your billing country and tax status, sales tax, VAT, GST or similar taxes may be added to or withheld from the amount you pay. Where the checkout shows a tax amount, that amount is collected by our payment provider and is the total you pay.
Payment processing. Payments are processed by third-party payment service providers. We do not receive or store your full payment card details; those are handled by the payment provider and, for in-app purchases, by the relevant app store. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms.
Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend access to paid features until the payment is completed. Access to the Free plan features is not affected.
4. Data, Content and Intellectual Property
The Service, the Site, the App, and the data, charts, databases, text, design and other content made available through them are owned by ChemPriceHub or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to your compliance with these Terms and to the plan you hold, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Service for your own internal business or personal research purposes.
You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, rent, sublicense or make available to third parties any substantial part of the data or content without our prior written consent, and you may not use automated means to extract data from the Service except as we expressly permit.
If you wish to cite ChemPriceHub price data publicly, please attribute "ChemPriceHub" together with the relevant page URL and the date of retrieval.
5. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we take reasonable steps to aggregate data accurately and to update it continuously, chemical prices, supplier information and market commentary reflect information published by third parties and may be incomplete, delayed or subject to change without notice. We do not warrant that the data is accurate, complete, current, error-free or suitable for any particular purpose, and you use the Service at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ChemPriceHub shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
6. Interruption and Termination of Service
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, if:
- you breach any provision of these Terms;
- we are required to do so by applicable law or by a competent authority;
- we cannot verify or authenticate information you have provided to us; or
- any other circumstance arises in which we reasonably consider termination to be necessary, including to protect the Service or other users.
We may also modify, suspend or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) for maintenance, upgrades or operational reasons. Where a suspension or discontinuation is not caused by your breach of these Terms and materially affects a paid subscription you hold, we will, where reasonably practicable, provide a pro-rata refund or an equivalent extension of your subscription.
When your access is terminated, we are not obliged to retain any information in your original account, and we are not obliged to forward or send unread messages to you or to any third party. Termination does not affect our right to pursue any claim in respect of unlawful acts or breaches committed before termination. You agree that ChemPriceHub will not be liable to you or to any third party for the termination of your use of the Service in accordance with this Section.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Service or in applicable law. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Material changes will be notified to you by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms; if you do not agree, you may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription as described in Section 3.
8. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution
The formation, validity, interpretation, amendment, supplementation, termination and performance of these Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service, are governed by the laws of the mainland of the People's Republic of China. Where there is no relevant provision in such laws, generally accepted business practice and/or industry practice shall apply. The parties shall first attempt to resolve any dispute through friendly negotiation; failing that, either party may submit the dispute to a court of competent jurisdiction.
