Price Forecast

The n-butyl acrylate market rose firmly today. Feedstock n-butanol was stable within a range, and the cost side was largely steady with only minor adjustments under pressure. Downstream players followed up on essential-demand purchases, and transaction prices remained firm at high levels. n-Butyl acrylate is expected to continue its high-level consolidation tomorrow, with that scenario considered more likely.

Related Product Markets

n-Butanol market: Jiangsu n-butanol was referenced at 8,200–8,300 yuan/ton on an ex-warehouse basis. Market prices moved sideways in consolidation; spot supply was limited, and downstream participants traded cautiously. Inquiries and trading volumes were concentrated at the lower end of the price range. Feedstock propylene has risen substantially, providing fairly strong cost support.

Acrylic acid market: The negotiation intention in the East China acrylic acid market was 7,600–7,700 yuan/ton, flat versus the previous working day. Today, the domestic acrylic acid market fluctuated and consolidated within a range. Feedstock propylene trended upward, strengthening cost support. Acrylic acid producers and holders quoted flexibly, while downstream users maintained essential-demand inquiries; actual transactions were negotiated and consolidated within a range.

Ethyl acrylate market: Negotiations in the East China ethyl acrylate market were at 10,400–10,600 yuan/ton, up 150 yuan/ton from the previous working day. The ethyl acrylate market extended its upward move today. Feedstock prices edged up, and the positive effect of plant shutdowns for maintenance at some producers continued, keeping spot supply limited. Ethyl acrylate producers and holders actively supported the market, and some downstream users in sectors such as textile auxiliaries and leather auxiliaries followed up with essential demand. The negotiation focus and transaction prices continued to rise firmly.

Methyl acrylate market: Offers for methyl acrylate in the East China region were around 9,200–9,400 yuan/ton today, unchanged from the previous working day. The methyl acrylate market remained tentatively stable within a range today. On the feedstock side, methanol prices moved up with fluctuations while acrylic acid held steady in a range, so cost support remained in place. Producers and holders maintained high-priced offers; however, downstream plants showed limited acceptance of high-priced feedstock, following up with only small essential-demand volumes and partly consuming contract volumes. The negotiation focus for firm transactions stayed at high levels.

As a buyer, this n-butyl acrylate move feels cost-push driven—upstream stays firm and capacity utilization at just under 57% still leaves supply tight enough to keep margins supported. Expect high-level consolidation to..
