Why is cyclopentane becoming the only compliant blowing agent for EU-bound refrigerators?
Beyond regulatory compliance, cyclopentane foam allows thinner insulation layers for the same thermal performance, enabling ultra-thin, large-capacity refrigerator designs. This is a key differentiator in the premium segment. Buyers should also note that handling requires explosion-proof equipment with nitrogen blanketing and gas monitoring, as cyclopentane has a flash point of -37°C and forms explosive mixtures with air.
