According to Chempricehub data, the average weekly profit margin for n-butanol stood at -179 RMB/ton this week, a decrease of 252 RMB/ton from the previous period. This decline was primarily driven by the sustained and significant rise in propylene feedstock prices. Although the market price center for n-butanol increased, its rate of appreciation lagged behind that of raw material costs, resulting in compressed gross margins for domestic n-butanol producers. Specifically, the average weekly price of propylene rose by 594 RMB/ton, while the average weekly price of n-butanol increased by only 117 RMB/ton.
