Weekly Production Profit Statistics for Chinese C5 Industry Chain Samples (Sept 18–24, 2026)

Published on 2026-09-24

On September 24, the price of cracked C5 fell by 2.38%. The prices of dicyclopentadiene, isoprene, and piperylene rose by 0.33%, 1.07%, and 1.91%, respectively, while the price of cracked C5 residue dropped by 3.78%. Overall, despite the decline in cracked C5 prices, the rise in piperylene prices led to a reduction in weekly profit losses.

For next week, cracked C5 prices are expected to fall slightly, with significant downside potential for cracked C5 residue prices. Piperylene prices are also projected to decline marginally. Consequently, C5 separation profits are expected to continue decreasing.

Cracked C5 margins remain under pressure as feedstock costs outpace product gains. While piperylene rose slightly, the steep drop in residue prices signals weak downstream demand. I expect separation profits to stay nega..
