Weekly Outlook for the Mixed C5 Market

Published on 2026-09-28

I. Key Focus Areas

  1. Crude Oil: On September 25, Iran proposed a seven-day plan to the United States to advance peace talks. If accepted by the US side, the Strait of Hormuz would fully reopen, leading to a decline in international oil prices. NYMEX crude oil futures (November contract) closed at $92.41/bbl, down $2.20/bbl (-2.33% WoW). ICE Brent crude oil futures (November contract) closed at $104.32/bbl, down $2.28/bbl (-2.14% WoW). China INE crude oil futures were suspended due to the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday.
  2. Gasoline: During the holiday period, the Shandong refinery gasoline market trended upward initially before declining. The production-sales ratio remained below 100%.
  3. Mixed C5: During the holiday period, the Shandong mixed C5 market maintained a strong performance.

Core Logic: Overnight crude oil prices rose, while the gasoline market consolidated; consequently, the Shandong mixed C5 market declined.

IV. Market Outlook

Intraday crude oil prices rose, providing positive guidance to the market. Today, refineries held firm on gasoline prices for shipments.
