Published on 2026-10-21

I. Key Points

  1. Crude Oil: On October 20, the market continued to assess the prospects of U.S.-Iran dialogue, leading to a slight easing of supply risk concerns and a decline in international oil prices. The NYMEX crude oil futures contract for November delivery closed at $101.79/bbl, down $1.87/bbl (-1.80% WoW); the ICE Brent crude oil futures contract for December delivery closed at $108.79/bbl, down $0.76/bbl (-0.69% WoW). China INE crude oil futures contract 2612 rose by 8.5 yuan to 727.3 yuan/bbl during the day session but fell by 32.5 yuan to 694.8 yuan/bbl during the night session.
  2. Gasoline: Gasoline prices at Shandong refineries declined yesterday, with a production-to-sales ratio of 90%.
  3. Mixed C5: The mixed C5 market in Shandong remained stable yesterday.

Core Logic: Overnight crude oil price declines led to a downward trend in the gasoline market, while the Shandong mixed C5 market remained flat.

IV. Market Outlook

Overnight crude oil declines provided bearish guidance to the market. Yesterday's gasoline production-to-sales ratio did not exceed 100%, suggesting that shipments may accumulate today. With weak sentiment among end-users, Chempricehub predicts that the mixed C5 market will operate on a softer trajectory today.
