As of September 23, 2026, the total inbound volume of monoethylene glycol (MEG) in East China was 30,000 tons, distributed as follows: Zhangjiagang 15,000 tons, Taicang 6,000 tons, Ningbo 3,000 tons, and Jiangyin 6,000 tons.
By September 17, total MEG inventories at major ports in East China stood at 114,000 tons, an increase of 8,000 tons from the previous reporting period. Specifically, inventories were 40,000 tons in Zhangjiagang, 45,000 tons in Taicang, 14,000 tons combined in Jiangyin and Changzhou, and 15,000 tons combined in Shanghai and Changshu. During this period, daily shipment volumes averaged 2,550 tons from Zhangjiagang and 3,100 tons from Taicang.
A 500,000-ton/year MEG unit in Zhejiang is scheduled to begin maintenance shutdown this weekend, with an expected duration of approximately 20 days.
