Taking the East China market as the benchmark, today's butyl acrylate closing price was 9,700 yuan/mt, up 250 yuan/mt from the previous working day. Affected by the rise in feedstock propylene, n-butanol continued to fluctuate at high levels, further intensifying cost pressure on butyl acrylate. Butyl acrylate holders maintained firm offers and pushed prices upward, with high-priced transactions frequently appearing in the market. Holders actively supported the market; however, downstream plants were cautious about chasing highs today and focused mainly on digesting previously built inventories, creating a strong wait-and-see atmosphere. The market trading center moved upward.

III. Production Dynamics

Today, the domestic butyl acrylate capacity utilization rate was 56.98%, flat compared with the previous working day.

IV. Price Forecast

Today, the butyl acrylate market continued its upward trend. Feedstock n-butanol fluctuated at high levels, cost pressure intensified, and a strong wait-and-see atmosphere prevailed in the market. Butyl acrylate is expected to remain firm at high levels next week with a relatively high probability.

V. Related Products

n-Butanol market: The Jiangsu n-butanol market was referenced at 8,850–8,850 yuan/mt ex-works, with the market price center edging up slightly. Feedstock propylene prices continued to rise, providing relatively strong cost support, while market supply was limited and downstream buyers purchased only on a need-to basis.

Acrylic acid market: Negotiations in the East China acrylic acid market were indicated at 8,200–8,400 yuan/mt, up 350 yuan/mt from the previous working day. Today, the domestic acrylic acid market maintained a firm trend. Feedstock propylene continued to run strong, putting notable pressure on the cost side. Acrylic acid plants and holders quoted flexibly, with overall offers broadly raised. Downstream sentiment turned cautious, with some enterprises making need-based purchases as opportunities arose, and the center of actual transaction negotiations shifted upward amid volatility.

Ethyl acrylate market: Negotiations in the East China ethyl acrylate market were at 10,500–10,600 yuan/mt, flat from the previous working day. Today, the ethyl acrylate market consolidated at high levels. Feedstock prices rose slightly, and with some plants shut down for maintenance, supply-side support remained in place. Ethyl acrylate plants and holders actively supported the market, while some downstream sectors such as textile auxiliaries and leather auxiliaries followed up with need-based purchases. The center of market transaction negotiations remained firm at high levels.

Methyl acrylate market: Today, methyl acrylate quotations in East China were around 9,500–9,600 yuan/mt. The methyl acrylate market ran firm at high levels today. On the feedstock side, methanol prices fluctuated downward while acrylic acid fluctuated at high levels, keeping cost support at a high level. Plants and holders maintained high offers, downstream plants followed up with small need-based purchases, and some digested contract volumes, with the center of actual transaction negotiations rising at high levels.

I see butyl acrylate firm on high n-butanol feedstock cost, but flat capacity utilization at 56.98% and cautious downstream demand limit margin upside. Cost support may persist, yet demand must confirm the rally.
