Anhydrous hydrofluoric acid prices in Jiangsu Province fell by 2.13% month-on-month in October, with the official pricing for anhydrous hydrofluoric acid dropping by RMB 200–600 per ton. The market exhibited significant volatility throughout the month. Early in October, prices declined within a specific range as suppliers rushed to clear inventory ahead of the sulfuric acid holiday season. However, the decline was limited in northern China due to tight supply conditions driven by major producers in the region. Following the price announcement, operational signals from key northern manufacturers remained unclear. Coupled with improved export demand, spot prices for anhydrous hydrofluoric acid surged to RMB 15,000–15,200 per ton. Most downstream enterprises had already completed their procurement in anticipation of a rebound in sulfuric acid prices and adopted a wait-and-see approach. With limited surplus inventory among producers, this dynamic further pushed up spot market prices. Nevertheless, inconsistent follow-through on demand subsequently led to a cooling of market sentiment.
The anhydrous hydrofluoric acid market is generally expected to trend upward, though the magnitude of increases may vary. Despite expectations that official pricing will continue to rise, supply constraints persist among downstream users, while demand has not shown any significant decline. In November, the anhydrous hydrofluoric acid index is projected to reach RMB 15,300–15,650 per ton, representing a month-on-month increase of RMB 500–1,100 per ton.
