I. Key Highlights
September 14: Although tensions in the Middle East persist, diplomatic efforts by multiple parties to ease risks have led to a decline in international crude oil prices. NYMEX WTI futures for October delivery fell $2.43/bbl to $100.05/bbl, down 2.37% week-on-week; ICE Brent futures for November delivery dropped $3.02/bbl to $104.61/bbl, down 2.81% week-on-week. China INE crude oil futures for the October 2026 contract rose by RMB 41.5 to RMB 809.9/bbl, while night session trading increased by RMB 40.2 to RMB 850.1/bbl.
September 14: In the key East China market, ethylene oxide (EO) prices remained stable at RMB 9,200/tonne compared to the previous period.

III. Market Outlook
Today, domestic polycarboxylate superplasticizer monomer prices are expected to trend slightly stronger. The primary raw material, ethylene oxide (EO), is likely to remain at high levels. Monoethylene glycol (MEG) prices may continue their upward trajectory. Integrated production units are maintaining MEG output, keeping spot EO supply tight. Downstream industries are consuming materials steadily. However, resistance to high prices in the ethylene market has increased, reducing producers' motivation to push prices further. Consequently, prices are expected to consolidate at high levels, with cost factors providing bottom support. Spot liquidity for monomers remains tight within the market, and supply-side support is evident. Downstream procurement continues to be driven mainly by essential demand, with cautious purchasing sentiment and transactions negotiated based on volume. Overall, the price of EPEG in the key East China market is projected to range between RMB 11,100 and 11,300 per tonne today.
