Recently, there have been new developments in the domestic lithium carbonate sector. Guangdong Meizhou plans to construct a new lithium carbonate project with an annual capacity of 7,500 tons, while a 400-ton lithium carbonate project in Henan has officially commenced construction.
Guangdong Meizhou Plans to Build a New 7,500-Ton Annual Lithium Carbonate Project
According to the public announcement by the People's Government of Anliu Town, Wuhua County, Meizhou City, Meizhou Haoli New Materials Co., Ltd. has initiated the first environmental impact assessment for its lithium mica resource utilization project. The project is located in Meizhou, Guangdong, and plans to construct two lithium mica roasting kiln lines and one lithium carbonate production line. Supporting facilities and utilities, including production workshops, raw material warehouses, finished product warehouses, and office buildings, will be built, and corresponding production equipment will be procured. Upon completion, the project will achieve an annual production capacity of 7,500 tons of lithium carbonate.
Henan 400-Ton Lithium Carbonate Project Commences Construction
The lithium carbonate project in Henan has also made substantial progress. The "Well Salt Brine and Evaporated Mother Liquor Lithium Carbonate Production Project," jointly established by Henan Pingmei Gas Storage Salt Chemical Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Yongzheng Lithium Technology Co., Ltd., has officially started construction. The project is designed with an annual production capacity of 400 tons.
Information shows that Henan Pingmei Gas Storage Salt Chemical Co., Ltd. was formerly known as China Pingmei Shenma Group United Salt Chemical Co., Ltd., established in November 2007, and is controlled by China Pingmei Shenma Group.
The advancement of these two projects will further diversify the raw material pathways and regional distribution of domestic lithium carbonate production, providing new support for the stability of the industry's supply chain.
