Ethylene Glycol Industry Weekly Highlights (June 26 - July 2, 2026)

  1. As of July 8, 2026, the total arrival volume of ethylene glycol (EG) at East China ports stands at 13,000 tons, with 13,000 tons arriving at Jiangyin and no arrivals at other storage areas.

  2. As of July 2, total EG inventory at major East China ports was 479,700 tons, down 37,800 tons from the previous period. In detail: Zhangjiagang 200,600 tons, Taicang 187,600 tons, Jiangyin and Changzhou 49,000 tons, Shanghai and Changshu 42,500 tons. For dispatches: during the period, Zhangjiagang averaged daily dispatches of 7,300 tons, while Taicang averaged around 3,800 tons per day.

  3. It is reported that a 900,000-ton/year ethylene glycol plant in Dalian is planned to shut down for maintenance around the end of July, with an expected duration of about one month. Another production line is operating largely steadily.
