Cost decline alleviates pressure; stearic acid profit margins recover

Lead-in: Recently, the price of palm oil, a key raw material for stearic acid, has declined, alleviating cost pressures in the stearic acid industry and gradually restoring theoretical profit margins for producers. Taking East China as an example, as of Thursday, the theoretical profit margin for stearic acid producers stood at -268 yuan/ton, representing a week-on-week increase of 310 yuan/ton (a rise of 53.63%).
