Weekly Statistical Data on Production Profit for DOP Samples in China (October 30 – November 5, 2026)

Published on 2026-11-05

On November 5, 2026, the gross profit for DOP sample production stood at CNY 33 per ton. The primary raw material prices on that day were as follows: n-octanol at CNY 10,000 per ton, phthalic anhydride (PA) produced via the ortho-xylene method at CNY 10,400 per ton, and PA produced via the naphthalene method at CNY 10,000 per ton. The weekly average profit was CNY 7 per ton, representing a week-on-week decline of CNY 36 per ton. During the week, prices for both raw materials (n-octanol and PA) and DOP trended downward from high levels; however, since DOP prices fell ahead of its raw materials, market profit margins contracted.

Sample Methodology:
DOP profit is calculated as the difference between the DOP market price and DOP production cost, with a processing fee factored in at CNY 300 per ton. Chempricehub’s DOP profit metric refers to the theoretical gross margin for DOP in the Shandong region. Data is collected on Thursdays during working days and released between 14:00 and 16:00 each Thursday.

DOP margins collapsed to CNY 7/ton as product prices outpaced feedstock costs. This sharp contraction signals weak downstream demand and high capacity utilization pressure in Shandong. With n-octanol and PA still elevate..
