Sample Description

The capacity utilization sample covers 12 domestic DBP producers and their respective manufacturing sites, achieving a 100% coverage rate of the tracked market segment.

Definition & Methodology

Capacity Utilization Rate refers to the extent to which an enterprise utilizes its installed capacity. It is generally calculated as the ratio of actual product output or raw material processing volume to effective capacity.

Chempricehub calculates the weekly DBP capacity utilization rate as the average utilization rate across all sample enterprises over a seven-day period. This figure is derived from the conversion of each sample enterprise’s actual DBP output relative to its design capacity.

Statistical Scope & Reporting Schedule

  • Reporting Period: Chempricehub’s statistical cycle for DBP capacity utilization runs from Friday of the previous week to Thursday of the current week.
  • Publication Time: Data is released on Thursdays between 15:00 and 17:30 (working days).
  • Effective Capacity Adjustment: At the end of each year, Chempricehub removes capacities that have been continuously shut down for more than two calendar years or those officially announced by enterprises as exiting DBP production from the calculation base for "effective capacity."
