The domestic trichloromethane market remained stable during this period, with enterprises flexibly adjusting their ex-works quotes based on inventory levels and shipment rhythms. Within the cycle, regional operating rates showed an upward trend, leading to a slight increase in supply. Inventory pressure on producers was manageable, prompting them to maintain steady quoting behavior. On the demand side, the market continued to follow an order-driven procurement model. The overall capacity utilization rate of major downstream fluororefrigerant R22 (ODS + raw material grade) remained around 60%. Leading downstream PTFE plants experienced low opening and downward trends, focusing primarily on raw-material-grade production, while downstream factories purchased according to actual orders.

In the short term, some methane chloride producers are expected to reduce loads or shut down operations, causing overall operating rates to decline. Supply will exhibit regional differentiation. Low-priced offers from major downstream refrigerant R22 producers are unlikely to stimulate demand, resulting in a weakly stable, stalemate-like market operation. Changes in overall operating rates are expected to be limited, maintaining current support levels for trichloromethane. Given these factors, the domestic trichloromethane market is expected to remain largely in a consolidation phase, with attention focused on future news developments.

Trichloromethane prices held flat while R22 utilization sat at just 60%, signaling weak downstream demand. With potential producer load reductions looming, I expect margin pressure to persist despite stable feedstock cos..
