On September 15, 2026, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued an affirmative final determination in its countervailing duty investigation on imports of carbon and alloy steel wire rod from Algeria. The Department determined that the countervailing subsidy rate for SPA Algerian Qatar Steel and other exporters/producers is 73.33%. The investigation covers products classified under multiple Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes. The investigation was initiated on April 28, 2026.
