I. Key Focus Points
East China propylene prices continued to rise. By the close of trading, the mainstream price in the East China market was RMB 10,275/ton (ex-tank); Ningbo’s mainstream price was RMB 10,400/ton (ex-tank); and South Jiangsu delivered prices were referenced at approximately RMB 10,300–10,400/ton. Major northern markets also sustained their upward trend, prompting enterprises across regions to maintain high asking prices. However, downstream purchasing enthusiasm in the East China region remained moderate, with overall actual transactions being relatively thin.
The reference price for n-butanol in Jiangsu stood at RMB 8,400–8,500/ton (ex-warehouse). The market price center shifted higher as feedstock propylene surged significantly, providing strong cost support. Combined with limited supply availability, low-priced offers continued to disappear, while downstream buyers engaged in opportunistic procurement based on rigid demand.

Yesterday, the domestic butyl acrylate market maintained a firm trend. Upstream propylene prices continued to rise sharply, while feedstocks n-butanol and acrylic acid increased amidst fluctuations due to cost support. Consequently, cost-side support for butyl acrylate strengthened. Holders actively pushed market prices up, reducing low-price offers. Downstream buyers purchased according to demand, primarily consuming existing inventory. Overall transaction centers rose amid fluctuations. Today, the butyl acrylate market is expected to remain firm at high levels. Future attention should focus on market supply conditions and the resumption of operations at downstream plants.
