Morning Market Brief for Industrial C10 Crude Aromatics

Published on 2026-10-13

I. Key Points

  1. Crude Oil: Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia continue, with Middle East instability driving up supply risks and pushing international crude oil prices higher. NYMEX WTI futures for the November contract closed at $93.74/barrel, up $1.89 (+2.06%); ICE Brent futures for the December contract closed at $106.65/barrel, up $1.93 (+1.84%). China INE crude oil futures for the December 2026 contract fell by 8.9 to 709.5 yuan/barrel in the daytime session, then rose by 24.7 to 734.2 yuan/barrel in the night session.

  2. Prices of downstream high-boiling aromatic solvents declined slightly.

Core Logic: Crude oil futures edged up slightly; market prices for downstream high-boiling aromatic solvents stabilized; the market for industrial-grade C10 mixed aromatics remained generally stable.

III. Market Outlook

International crude oil prices edged up slightly. On the demand side, market prices for downstream high-boiling aromatic solvents have stopped falling and stabilized, making it difficult to sustain upward pressure on C10 prices. Currently, C10 prices remain at high levels, with downstream enterprises primarily replenishing based on rigid demand. Therefore, the C10 market is expected to remain stable today with a wait-and-see attitude, showing only sporadic adjustments.
