Market activity slowed, trending weaker in a consolidation phase (October 11–15, 2026)

Published on 2026-10-15

1. Key Market Focus This Week

  • Fluorsite: Market sentiment has softened, with increased wait-and-see attitudes among participants.
  • Anhydrous Hydrofluoric Acid (AHF): The mainstream delivered price for October contracts is referenced at 14,500–15,000 RMB/ton.
  • Supply-Demand Dynamics: Demand follow-through for AHF remains insufficient, leading to a contraction in capacity utilization and intensifying supply-demand tensions.

2. Weekly Market Analysis

The domestic market for 97% fluorsite concentrate weakened and stabilized this week. Inquiry and transaction activity within the market declined compared to previous periods, as most downstream enterprises have completed their phased procurement.

In the northern market, local prices face pressure from external sources and Xinjiang-origin supplies. Traders largely rely on inventory built up earlier or adopt a "buy-as-needed" strategy, while downstream consumption remains strictly driven by essential demand. In the southern market, price movements are heavily pressured by the sulfuric acid sector. Recently, sulfuric acid prices have continued to rise due to sustained supply contractions. Given that profit margins for hydrofluoric acid are already limited, buyers are pushing down fluorsite prices to offset costs. Consequently, recent transaction prices have averaged 100–150 RMB/ton lower than previous levels. With no immediate positive catalysts expected in the short term, a weak stabilization trend prevails.

Current reference delivered spot prices across domestic regions are as follows:

  • Inner Mongolia: 3,300–3,400 RMB/ton
  • Zhejiang: 3,500–3,600 RMB/ton
  • Jiangxi & Fujian: 3,700–3,750 RMB/ton
  • Shandong: 3,550–3,650 RMB/ton
  • Northwest China: 3,400–3,450 RMB/ton
  • Henan & Anhui: 3,450–3,500 RMB/ton

As of press time, the mainstream delivered price for domestic fluorsite wet powder is referenced at 3,300–3,750 RMB/ton.

3. Downstream Market Influencing Factors

Weekly Anhydrous Hydrofluoric Acid (AHF) Market Overview:

Market sentiment for domestic AHF softened this week. At the beginning of the week, inquiries and purchases from major downstream enterprises were nearing completion; although sentiment appeared firm initially, actual transaction volumes remained limited.

From a cost perspective, sulfuric acid prices have maintained an upward trend, rising by 300 RMB/ton since the latest pricing adjustments. This has intensified raw material pressure, prompting a gradual decline in fluorsite prices to alleviate costs. On the production side, manufacturers are maintaining steady operational rhythms. Most plants are running at high load capacities, except for those experiencing abnormal production issues. However, overall demand remains sluggish. Apart from occasional spot orders boosting market atmosphere, many downstream enterprises are burdened by weak demand, facing difficulties in unloading goods and receiving new orders. This has resulted in digestion capabilities falling below expectations, with inventory levels remaining at medium-to-high positions.

As of press time, the mainstream delivered price for domestic AHF in East China is referenced at 14,500–14,800 RMB/ton, while in Shandong, it is 14,760–15,000 RMB/ton.

4. Next Week Market Forecast

In summary, market participants currently hold mixed sentiments, leaning generally bearish. Non-entering demand-side players exhibit strong price-suppression intentions, and supply-demand tug-of-war continues. Chempricehub Information anticipates that the domestic fluorsite market will fluctuate within a range next week.

Fluorsite and AHF markets are entering a consolidation phase as downstream procurement finishes. Weak demand has contracted capacity utilization, while rising sulfuric acid costs squeeze margins for buyers. Without immed..
