As of August 12, 2026, the total MEG arrival volume at East China ports stands at 18,000 tons, all of which is at Zhangjiagang, with no arrivals at other storage areas.
As of August 6, total MEG inventory at East China main ports was 354,000 tons, down 42,000 tons from Monday and down 62,000 tons from last Thursday. A breakdown by port: Zhangjiagang 170,000 tons, Taicang 107,000 tons, Jiangyin and Changzhou 41,000 tons, Shanghai and Changshu 36,000 tons. Shipments from main ports this week: Zhangjiagang averaged 3,500 tons/day, and Taicang shipped 7,100 tons/day.
A 830,000 tons/year MEG plant operated by Nan Ya in the United States was shut down for maintenance in mid-to-late July and is expected to restart around August 12.
