As of August 19, 2026, the total arrival volume of ethylene glycol at East China ports reached 26,200 tons, with Zhangjiagang receiving 21,200 tons and Ningbo receiving 5,000 tons.
As of August 13, the total EG inventory at East China main ports stood at 334,000 tons, down 10,000 tons from the previous period. A breakdown shows Zhangjiagang at 144,000 tons, Taicang at 91,000 tons, Jiangyin and Changzhou combined at 38,000 tons, and Shanghai and Changshu combined at 61,000 tons. During this week, loading operations at main ports were suspended on some working days due to weather conditions. On a daily average basis, Zhangjiagang shipped approximately 2,300 tons per day, while Taicang shipped 1,500 tons per day.
A 200,000-ton/year ethylene glycol plant in Shanxi is scheduled to restart this week, following the commencement of its maintenance on July 14.
