  1. A 600,000-ton/year ethylene glycol unit in Xinjiang underwent load-reduction maintenance in early August and has recently resumed normal operations, running at full capacity.

  2. On August 19, 2026, daily MEG shipments from a major storage area in Zhangjiagang totaled 8,700 tons, down 13.00% period-on-period; daily MEG shipments from two major storage areas in Taicang totaled 3,100 tons, down 11.43% period-on-period.

  3. A 450,000-ton/year ethylene glycol unit in Iran has recently been restarted, after being shut down in late March.
