DBP Market Prices Fluctuate but Trend Steady (September 15, 2026)

  1. Today's Summary

① Domestic DBP prices remained stable across all regions today.
② The domestic DBP operating rate stood at 46% today.

  1. Spot Market Overview

Table 1: Summary of Domestic DBP Industry Chain Prices (Unit: CNY/ton)

Henan 10400 10400 0 0%
North China 10400 10400 0 0%

Using the Henan region as the benchmark, DBP closed at 10,400–10,400 CNY/ton today, consistent with morning expectations. The domestic DBP market traded sideways and consolidated today. It is reported that raw materials, including n-butanol and phthalic anhydride, maintained high levels. Strong cost support from these elevated raw material prices underpinned DBP costs. However, downstream buyers continued to purchase only on a rigid-demand basis and showed slight resistance to the high prices. Consequently, market inquiries and transactions were average.

  1. Production Dynamics

The domestic DBP capacity utilization rate was 46% today. The current profitability level for DBP products is approximately 11 CNY/ton.

  1. Price Forecast

Currently, both key raw materials are trading at high levels, providing strong cost support. Downstream users are resistant to the high prices, leading to weakened willingness to take delivery and average market activity, with price centers leaning towards the lower end. The DBP market is expected to fluctuate and consolidate in the near future.

  1. Related Products Status

DOP Market: DOP prices continued to trade at high levels today. Although prices remained firm, inquiry activity noticeably declined. Downstream users exhibited clear resistance to current high prices, resulting in sluggish transaction and inquiry activity during the day.
