ChemPriceHub Alert: LPG price drops by 1.1%, bearish for the market.

Published on 2026-01-04

According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, in late December 2025, the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) was 4,358.0 yuan per ton, a decrease of 47.4 yuan per ton compared to the previous period, representing a decline of 1.1%. PriceSeek's analysis of LPG indicates a bearish sentiment score of -1. The data from the National Bureau of Statistics shows that the price of liquefied petroleum gas in late December 2025 was 4,358.0 yuan per ton, down by 47.4 yuan per ton from the previous period, a drop of 1.1%. This suggests an oversupply or weak demand in the spot market, which is bearish for spot prices. Combined with futures data from the Dalian Commodity Exchange, such as the closing price of the 2604 contract at 4,197 yuan per ton and the 2605 contract at 4,117 yuan per ton, although near-term contracts have seen slight increases (e.g., a change of +47), the downward trend in spot prices may transmit to the futures market, putting downward pressure on futures prices. It is expected that short-term market sentiment will remain bearish.
