According to the Anshun Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, the city currently has a total of 36 registered coal mines, with a combined designed production capacity of 14.88 million tons per year. The capacity distribution among various types of coal mines is clearly defined. Among them, there are 10 operational coal mines with a designed production capacity of 4.2 million tons per year; one coal mine undergoing joint trial operation with a designed production capacity of 450,000 tons per year; three coal mines undergoing technical renovation and construction, with an approved renovation scale of 1.35 million tons per year; and 22 coal mines that have been suspended from production and construction for an extended period, with an approved renovation scale or designed production capacity of 8.88 million tons per year.
