On October 23, the acetic acid market in South China softened. Ex-works prices were quoted at approximately RMB 4,350 per ton (ex-works basis), a decrease of RMB 25 per ton. Upstream methanol provided limited support, downstream procurement remained restrained, and traders faced challenges in selling inventory, resulting in continued weak trends for the acetic acid market.
