Weekly Statistical Data on Capacity Utilization Rates of Sample Caustic Soda Enterprises in China

This week (September 18–24, 2026), the average capacity utilization rate of Chinese caustic soda sample enterprises with capacities of 100,000 tons or more was 78.7%, up by 0.5 percentage points from the previous week. During the week, two chlor-alkali units were shut down for maintenance, while four units resumed operations after maintenance. By region, chlor-alkali operating rates declined in Northwest China, Central China, and Northeast China, but increased in North China, East China, South China, and Southwest China. Notably, Shandong’s chlor-alkali operating rate stood at 82.1% this week, rising by 1.8 percentage points from the previous week. Looking ahead to next week, two chlor-alkali units are scheduled for maintenance, and four are expected to restart. The national chlor-alkali operating rate is projected to recover to approximately 80.0%.
