Weekly Market Outlook for Domestic Wet Fluorspar Powder

Published on 2026-10-08

I. Key Highlights

  1. The market for 97% wet fluorspar powder experienced weak supply and demand dynamics, with strong upward price momentum.
  2. In October, the mainstream contract delivered price for anhydrous hydrofluoric acid (AHF) is referenced at CNY 14,500–14,800 per ton. For the Shandong market, the mainstream contract delivered price for AHF is referenced at CNY 14,760–15,000 per ton.
  3. Quotations from major producers for refrigerant R32 remain firm, with operating rates hovering around 40–50%.

Core Logic: Market sentiment for fluorine chemical feedstocks has recently cooled. Although shutdowns by large northern enterprises have stimulated prices, they are insufficient to alter the fundamental contradiction of oversupply.

III. Market Outlook

Last week, the domestic market for 97% fluorspar concentrate was characterized by a wait-and-see attitude. Previous pricing adjustments for anhydrous hydrofluoric acid varied; declines in the Jiangsu-Zhejiang and broader East China markets were concentrated around CNY 600 per ton. However, quotations for fluorspar in Jiangxi and Fujian remained high. On the demand side, apart from essential replenishment, buyers largely waited for post-holiday market sentiment to develop before entering. Markets in North China and Shandong had completed their pre-holiday replenishment, with many downstream users engaging in inventory accumulation. Based on this, prices edged slightly higher as downstream parties allowed some room for adjustment, resulting in continued bargaining between supply and demand sides.

Current spot delivered prices across various domestic markets are referenced as follows:

  • Inner Mongolia: CNY 3,350–3,500/ton
  • Zhejiang: CNY 3,500–3,600/ton
  • Jiangxi and Fujian: CNY 3,800–3,850/ton
  • Shandong: CNY 3,550–3,650/ton
  • Northwest China: CNY 3,400–3,450/ton
  • Henan and Anhui: CNY 3,450–3,500/ton

As of press time, the mainstream delivered price for domestic 97% wet fluorspar powder is referenced at CNY 3,350–3,850 per ton.

Fluorspar prices climbed on northern shutdowns, but weak downstream demand and oversupply cap upside. With AHF contracts stable and R32 capacity utilization low, margins remain squeezed. I expect a wait-and-see stance as..
