Weekly Capacity Utilization Data for Sample Caustic Soda Enterprises in China (September 17, 2026)

This week (September 11–17, 2026), the average capacity utilization rate of Chinese caustic soda sample enterprises with capacities of 100,000 tons or more was 78.2%, up 0.4% from the previous week. During the week, one chlor-alkali unit was shut down for maintenance, while two units resumed operations after maintenance. By region, chlor-alkali operating rates declined in Northwest and Central China but increased in North China, East China, and Southwest China. Notably, Shandong’s chlor-alkali operating rate stood at 80.3%, rising 0.7% from the previous week. Looking ahead to next week, one chlor-alkali unit is scheduled for maintenance, while three units are expected to restart. The national chlor-alkali operating rate is projected to recover to approximately 79.3%.
