Based on the Shandong region, today's n-butanol closed at 8,500–8,700 RMB/ton, consistent with morning expectations. Today, the price center of gravity for domestic n-butanol market prices shifted downward. It is reported that raw material propylene prices declined, reducing cost-side support. Downstream purchasing interest weakened, high-price transactions decreased, some factories offered discounts to move inventory, while low-price transactions remained favorable.
Today, the capacity utilization rate for domestic n-butanol stood at 76%. With propylene raw material prices decreasing, current profitability for n-butanol is approximately 1,071 RMB/ton.
Currently, cost-side support for prices continues to weaken. Market supply is gradually increasing, and downstream purchasing interest is following suit with a decline. Inquiry and transaction activity are lackluster, with trading focused primarily on lower price levels. The market price is expected to undergo fluctuating consolidation.
Octanol Market: Today, high-end offers in the domestic octanol market followed the downward trend. Buying interest remains average, with small-to-medium volume transactions dominating the market. Recently, octanol supply has increased as downstream users slowed their spot procurement pace. Industry inventories have risen slightly, and market participants are largely in a wait-and-see mode.
