According to assessment data, South Korea’s total pure benzene exports from September 1 to 30, 2026, amounted to 171,218 tonnes, all of which were shipped to mainland China.
By comparison, during the same period in 2025 (September 1–30), South Korea’s total pure benzene exports reached 280,670 tonnes. These exports were distributed as follows: 270,562 tonnes to mainland China, 6,000 tonnes to Taiwan, China, 4,068 tonnes to Japan, and 40 tonnes to Malaysia.
