ChemPriceHub, October 21:
Today, mainstream quotes for the toluene market in South China stood at RMB 8,900–8,950/ton, down by RMB 50/ton from the previous trading day. On the prior trading day, toluene and xylene prices trended higher amid volatility, supported by rising crude oil and aromatic feedstock costs, although downstream demand remained weak. Overnight, both crude oil and aromatics futures declined during the night session, dampening market sentiment. While tight domestic supply provided some support, downstream procurement activity continued to be subdued. The spot market is expected to remain soft in the short term.
