Currently, soda ash prices are stabilizing, with modest upward adjustments. Futures and spot market trading volumes are fairly active, while downstream demand remains lackluster, with only scattered replenishment. On one hand, soda ash producers have begun maintenance turnarounds, and a few plants have reduced output, leading to a noticeable decline in supply. However, overall soda ash inventories remain relatively high and supply is ample. On the other hand, downstream demand is lukewarm, with weak purchasing sentiment. Most buyers are purchasing only as needed, consuming existing inventories, and showing limited interest in procuring at new price levels.
Recent market focus points for soda ash:
Recently, some enterprises have continued maintenance, and individual plants experienced sudden unplanned shutdowns, reducing supply and strengthening market sentiment. Spot prices are currently stabilizing with slight upward adjustments. At present, daily soda ash output is around 97,000 tons. As supply gradually recovers, output is expected to increase.
