Introduction: Recently, the price of lauric acid has continued to climb. As of July 3, the mainstream negotiated price in the East China lauric acid market reached 16,500–17,000 yuan/ton, rebounding by 1,100 yuan/ton from the early June low of 15,300–16,000 yuan/ton, an increase of 7.03%. This round of price increases is primarily driven by a combination of rising raw material costs, tightening supply, and recovering demand. The average price of palm kernel oil in East China reached USD 2,053/ton, up by USD 39.33/ton. On the demand side, with the arrival of summer, demand for daily-use washing and personal care products has increased, further stimulating demand for lauric acid and thus pushing prices higher.
