  1. Daily Summary

① 【Chempricehub】Oct 30: International crude oil prices rose as markets focused on the potential escalation of US-Iran conflicts, while Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia intensified supply risks. NYMEX December crude futures settled at $104.12/bbl, up $2.12/bbl (+2.08% WoW); ICE Brent December futures closed at $117.64/bbl, up $2.76/bbl (+2.40% WoW). China INE December 2026 crude futures fell by CNY 8.3 to CNY 727.6/bbl during the day session, but rebounded by CNY 30.9 to CNY 758.5/bbl in the night session.

② Today, the domestic cyclohexanone capacity utilization rate is approximately 60%. The trend toward integrated cyclohexanone production has matured, with most facilities co-producing caprolactam synchronously. Commodity-grade supply remains stable, and downstream chemical fiber orders are being fulfilled on an as-needed basis.

③ Sinopec refineries in East, South, and Central China have lowered pure benzene prices by CNY 300/ton to CNY 10,000/ton, effective November 2.

Data Source: Chempricehub

Based on the East China market benchmark, today’s cyclohexanone price reference is CNY 11,600/ton, representing a decline of approximately 0.43% from the previous trading day. The raw material pure benzene market remains weak, offering little cost support. Cyclohexanone spot supply is stable, but downstream buyers are cautious about chasing higher prices, resulting in a generally soft market trend.

  1. Production Dynamics

Today, the integration between cyclohexanone and caprolactam production continues to improve, leading to a reduction in commodity-grade cyclohexanone supply. Downstream chemical fiber order follow-through remains limited.

  1. Price Forecast

Pure benzene prices are fluctuating, maintaining pressure on costs. With relatively low capacity utilization for commodity-grade cyclohexanone and downstream procurement primarily driven by immediate needs, the short-term cyclohexanone market is expected to remain volatile.

  1. Related Product Status

Pure Benzene Market: On November 2, East China pure benzene spot negotiations ranged from CNY 9,700–9,800/ton, with an average price of CNY 9,750/ton, down CNY 315 from the previous working day. Late October deliveries negotiated at CNY 9,390–9,570/ton (average CNY 9,480/ton), down CNY 585; late November deliveries negotiated at CNY 9,070–9,270/ton (average CNY 9,170/ton), down CNY 255; late December deliveries negotiated at CNY 8,870–9,070/ton (average CNY 8,970/ton), down CNY 205. Unit: CNY/ton.

Caprolactam: Today, East China caprolactam prices hovered around CNY 13,600–13,650/ton (delivered via acceptance bills). At the start of the week, caprolactam market prices showed no significant fluctuations. Producers have not issued new pricing, and the market sentiment remains cautiously wait-and-see.

With crude rising but cyclohexanone falling, margin pressure is evident. Sinopec’s benzene cut weakens feedstock costs, yet 60% capacity utilization keeps supply stable. Downstream demand remains cautious, limiting pric..
