ChemPriceHub reported on September 30 that Shandong Zhenbo Chemical Co., Ltd. has initiated the third public notice prior to submitting the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report for approval regarding its integrated project for the co-production of 90,000 tons per year (tpy) of anhydrous aluminum fluoride and high-end fluorine-containing materials. The project is planned in two phases:
Phase I: Construction of a 65,600 tpy anhydrous hydrogen fluoride production unit and a 90,000 tpy anhydrous aluminum fluoride production unit, along with supporting auxiliary facilities including raw material warehouses, tank farms, and wastewater treatment stations.
Phase II: Construction of a 20,000 tpy electronic-grade hydrofluoric acid production unit.
The project involves the addition of approximately 500 units/sets of equipment, including fluidized beds, reactors, and high-temperature fans.
Upon completion of Phase I, the plant will produce approximately 90,000 tpy of anhydrous aluminum fluoride, with a by-product of approximately 7,300 tpy of fluorosilicic acid. Upon completion of Phase II, the total annual output will include approximately 76,000 tpy of anhydrous aluminum fluoride and 20,000 tpy of electronic-grade hydrofluoric acid, along with a by-product of approximately 11,200 tpy of fluorosilicic acid. All products and by-products are intended for external sale.
