On February 5, the soda ash quotations in Central China were as follows: the mainstream market price of light soda ash was around 1,100–1,200 yuan/ton, while the mainstream market price of heavy soda ash was around 1,150–1,300 yuan/ton. Downstream demand for soda ash followed a need-based approach, with a relatively subdued market trading atmosphere. Factory quotations remained stable, while some maintenance activities were carried out on the supply side, leading to a decline in inventory. In the short term, the soda ash market in Central China is expected to operate under a wait-and-see sentiment.
