Methanol Prices in Shandong Region Surge Significantly on September 8

On September 8, methanol prices in the Shandong region moved higher: In the Zibo area of Shandong, the negotiated methanol market price was 3,440 CNY/ton on a delivered, spot-cash basis. In central Shandong, local factory quotations for methanol ranged from 3,380 to 3,460 CNY/ton on an ex-works, self-pickup basis. In the Dongying area of Shandong, the methanol market price reached 3,580–3,590 CNY/ton on a delivered, spot-cash basis, up 150 CNY/ton. In Jining, methanol ex-works prices were referenced at 3,460–3,465 CNY/ton on a plant-gate, spot-cash basis; in Linyi, delivered prices were referenced at 3,520–3,540 CNY/ton on a delivered, spot-cash basis.
