Mainstream quoted prices for xylene in South China are currently in the range of RMB 9,250–9,500 per metric ton, down by RMB 50/mt compared to the previous trading day. On the preceding trading day, both toluene and xylene exhibited high-level consolidation trends. Although crude oil prices softened slightly after the holiday break, the pullback was limited. Domestic aromatics supply remains tight; even after downstream buyers completed concentrated restocking, spot availability continues to be scarce. Supported by the futures performance of para-xylene (PX) and pure benzene, the market is expected to maintain a trend of high-level consolidation in the short term.
