Taking the Henan region as the benchmark, domestic DBP closed at 11,000–11,000 yuan/ton today, aligning with morning expectations. The price center of gravity for domestic DBP shifted upward, with low-end offers disappearing from the market. Although upstream phthalic anhydride (PA) prices softened slightly, they remained at high levels. Meanwhile, n-butanol prices surged significantly, strengthening cost support. With limited supply available and downstream buyers purchasing based on rigid demand, the market trended toward higher price points.

  1. Production Dynamics

The domestic DBP capacity utilization rate was 37% today. While upstream PA prices remained weak and trending downward, n-butanol prices rose sharply. The current profitability level for DBP products is approximately 554 yuan/ton.

  1. Price Forecast

Currently, raw material markets are operating at high levels, providing strong cost support. Simultaneously, the low operating rate of DBP has resulted in limited supply. However, downstream procurement remains primarily driven by rigid demand, with inquiries and transactions slowing down. Therefore, the DBP market is expected to consolidate at high levels in the near term.

  1. Related Products

DOP Market: Today, upstream octanol prices rose, leading to a corresponding increase in DOP prices due to cost push factors. Some traders replenished inventory based on rigid demand. In the afternoon, prices continued to rise in certain regions, while downstream users maintained purchasing behavior aligned with their immediate needs.

With DBP capacity utilization stuck at 37% and n-butanol feedstock costs surging, prices climbed despite rigid but slowing downstream demand. This tight supply-cost dynamic supports the market center, though margin compr..
