On February 4, 2026, CIMC Enric announced significant progress in a key collaboration: the company has completed the signing of two crucial agreements—a joint venture agreement with Tsingshan Holding Group Co., Ltd. and a coke oven gas supply cooperation agreement with Nanjing Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. Based on these partnerships, CIMC Enric will collaborate with Tsingshan Group, Nanjing Iron & Steel, and other partners to jointly develop and construct a coke oven gas-to-LNG and methanol co-production project in the Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP) in Sulawesi Province. The project is designed with an annual production capacity of 180,000 tons of blue liquefied natural gas (LNG) and 100,000 tons of blue methanol, and will be operated under the majority control of CIMC Enric. This initiative represents the first overseas replication and expansion of CIMC Enric’s mature integrated steel-coking business model, marking an acceleration in the company’s international deployment of green energy operations.
