ChemPriceHub: Market Trading Conditions of Xylene in East China on January 8

Published on 2026-01-08

On January 8, the mainstream spot quotation range for the xylene market in East China was 5,780–5,800 yuan per ton, unchanged from the previous trading day. Influenced by the decline in WTI crude oil prices, the weakening of PX night trading, and concerns about ample supply triggered by expectations of oil supply from Venezuela, the toluene and xylene markets are expected to experience a slight downward fluctuation during the day. However, low domestic spot inventory and a wide PX-MX price spread provide strong support, limiting the extent of short-term price declines. As a result, prices are unlikely to break out of the current fluctuating pattern.
