Analysis: On February 26, the price of ammonia in Shandong region saw an increase. According to the commodity market analysis system from the Business Sheets, the daily price increase in the main producing area of Shandong was 4.47%. The primary reason for this is the decrease in the release of ammonia by major factories and some units undergoing maintenance, providing support on the supply side. On Monday, the prices in Shandong and its surrounding areas in Hebei were generally increased by 150-200 Yuan/ton. Dealers followed suit with their bids. Additionally, after the holiday, the enthusiasm of downstream purchases improved, urea stabilized, and the demand side continued to warm up. Currently, the mainstream pricing in Shandong is between 2800-3000 Yuan/ton. Forecast: It is expected that northern ammonia enterprises may resume operations in the short term, and the supply will become tighter in the later period. Coupled with the arrival of the peak period for downstream purchases, it is predicted that the upward momentum of ammonia prices will not sustain in the future, and it is possible that prices might turn downwards.
