The mainstream spot quotation range for toluene in the East China market is RMB 7,300–7,350/ton, up RMB 100/ton from the previous trading day. In the prior trading session, toluene and xylene prices fluctuated upward. Although international crude oil closed weaker overnight, the aromatics market trended firmer. Over the weekend, quotations from independent refineries in Shandong edged up slightly. Combined with tight domestic spot supply, this provided underlying support for the market. However, downstream demand remained sluggish, and the short-term market is expected to fluctuate as bears and bulls contend.
