Growing energy storage demand drives the increase in lithium-ion battery electrolyte consumption

Chempricehub, September 17 — At its interim results briefing, Tinci Materials stated that driven by rising demand from AI data centers, the growth rate of energy storage battery demand is expected to exceed that of power batteries over the next two to three years, thereby boosting demand for lithium-ion battery electrolytes. The company noted that capacity additions for lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6) and electrolytes will be determined through a comprehensive assessment of market demand and market share targets, with production capacity being released gradually in line with market conditions and order requirements.
