Chempricehub key reminder: PVC concentrated maintenance tightens supply, supporting upward price movement.

Chempricehub, August 10 — PVC plant maintenance schedules have been implemented intensively:

Inner Mongolia Junzheng Wuda plant: maintenance from August 10 to 21.
Xinzhongjia: shutdown from August 8 to 20.
Formosa Plastics Ningbo: major maintenance on its ethylene-based PVC unit in August.

Domestically, close to 5 million tonnes of PVC capacity are currently in the maintenance/shutdown window, sustaining firm demand for calcium carbide as a feedstock.
