Chempricehub Key Alert: Ethanol Exports Surge by 858% Month-on-Month

Published on 2026-01-03

December 25th — According to customs data, China's export volume of unmodified ethanol in November 2025 reached 11,528.39 tons, representing a month-on-month increase of 858.49%. The average export price was $761.79 per ton, with the Philippines being the largest destination, accounting for 9,964.7 tons at an average export price of $730 per ton.

Chempricehub's analysis of ethanol shows a bullish-bearish score of 1.5. In November 2025, ethanol exports surged by 858.49% month-on-month to 11,528.39 tons, with an average export price of $761.79 per ton. Exports to the Philippines accounted for over 86% of the total. The sharp increase in export volume indicates strong international demand, particularly from the Philippine market, which may reduce domestic spot supply or drive up demand, benefiting ethanol spot prices. Given the current high average export price, it is expected that domestic ethanol spot prices will be supported and rise in the short term.
